Spend the morning outside to learn all about plants of the Sonoran Desert during this guided hike with Ranger Olivia. Click program title for more details.

Enjoy a guided plant hike along some of our trails to see all the beauty the desert plants have to offer. We will be along the Lost sheep and Chain fruit trails which are rated easy and are mostly flat with some uneven/rocky surfaces so please wear closed-toed shoes. We will do a 3-mile out and back along this trail to see the variety of plants that can grow here!  Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center, where we will meet. Be sure to bring water and any questions you have about the plants that reside in the desert!

PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. The Maricopa County Parks website (www.maricopa.gov/parks) is the most accurate resource for verifying the program’s current status. Please check the program listing online before coming to the park.
