he hike will cover 3 miles and gain 343ft in elevation on rocky trail. There are a few loose sections of trail and areas with steep drop-offs so if you have difficulty with balance sturdy hiking shoes and trekking poles are strongly encouraged. As you will be hiking at night all hikers will need flashlights with a full charge or extra batteries. If you have them feel free to bring along blacklights to help the ranger hunt for scorpions. Please note that cell phone lights will not be bright enough. Bathrooms are located at the trailhead but please make sure to bring plenty of water with you. Please note this hike is only accessible from the north entry and is 15 minutes from the main lake entry.
