The desert is a beautiful place anytime, but mornings during the early days of summer might just top them all. We’ll take in all the beauty of blooming cactus while watching for birds, mammals, reptiles and insects. We’ll be on the North trail, which is rated easy, with very little in the way of loose rock, uneven terrain or elevation change. Distance is 2.9 miles. Please wear closed-toed shoes and bring water. Hats and sunscreen are highly recommended. Restrooms are available near the trailhead. Please, NO pets.
