As part of our Homeschool Happenings program offerings, today we will be led through hands-on fun and educational activities as we learn about the tiny critters that live in freshwater ecosystems and the role of dams and flood diversions in keeping us all safe. Ranger Eric from Maricopa County Parks will lead us through the Aquatic Life activity and Angela Clipper, Outreach Coordination Liaison from the Flood Control District of Maricopa County, will lead us through the Build-a-Dam activity. These activities will have variations to accommodate different ages from pre-K to 6th grade, but younger and older kids are welcome. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. We will be doing the activities in the classroom area of the Nature Center next to the lobby, with restrooms nearby next to the front entrance of the building.

No cost beyond the general park entry fee ($10 per vehicle, Maricopa County Parks annual passes also accepted). You will pay or present your annual pass at the front desk when you enter the Nature Center.
Limit 30 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at 602-506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number, and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 10/7.
