Join Ranger Olivia to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area hike to learn about the history of the area. Click on program title for more details.

Spur Cross is turning 25! Join us in celebrating this beautiful park by getting out on the trails and learning about some of the things that make this park special. Ranger Olivia will lead you on a hike where you will learn about the rich history that Spur Cross has had throughout the years. This hike will include seeing areas in the park where there are still petroglyphs from the ancient peoples and the site of the old Ranch that Spur Cross Ranch is named for. We will head out on Spur Cross Trail, take a small detour onto Mariposa Hill and then loop onto Metate Trail for a total of 2.5 miles. These trails are rated easy but have a few rocky areas and slight incline, so please wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms are available at the Trailhead. There is NO potable water in the park.

MEETING LOCATION: Picnic Tables
