Join Ranger Shaun for a walk in the desert to learn about the plants and

Come along a 4-mile loop of moderate and easy terrain with Ranger Shaun to explore in the Sonoran Desert and the experience some of the collection of organisms that call it home. Starting from the convenience of the Nature Center, our path heads up Overton trail, crosses the street down Slate trail, loops back on Quartz trail before heading back to the Nature Center via Go John and Overton. Trail ratings are easy to medium difficult and include some large rocks and loose gravel. Hiking poles or sticks are not required but may prove useful. Hiking boots are recommended. Closed toed shoes are required. As is a water bottle with drinking water. A hat, sunglasses, and sunscreen are encouraged. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
