Ranger Nikki will introduce you to San Tan’s animal ambassadors, including tortoises, snakes, a chuckwalla, a tarantula, and a Gila monster. Learn about their life cycles, adaptations and what you should do if you encounter their relatives on the trail. If you plan to hike before or after the program, be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center. (Nature Center closes at 2pm).
