Celebrate National Family Health and Fitness Day with Ranger Jacque! Stop by this survival-themed discovery table to learn how to stay safe and prepared while exploring the Sonoran Desert this summer. Click program title for more details.

In honor of National Family Health and Fitness Day, Ranger Jacque will host a casual, come-and-go discovery station focused on the essentials of desert survival. Staying active is vital for family health, but navigating the Arizona heat requires specific skills and preparation.

Stop by the Nature Center to see a hands-on display of what a ranger carries in their pack to stay safe in the summer. We will discuss topics including how to plan a hike, selecting appropriate footwear, emergency preparedness, and effective hydration and nutrition strategies to keep your body fueled for outdoor recreation. Whether you are a local resident or a visiting family, you will walk away with practical tips for staying fit and confident on the trails. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.

MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center

No registration required. Just stop by anytime between 1:00 pm and 2:00 pm!
