Join Ranger Eric for a guided hike to learn about the plants and ecology of the Sonoran Desert. We have a chance of seeing early spring wildflowers following the rains we received in the fall. We will hike 1-2 miles roundtrip on easy grade on the Slate Trail, with frequently rocky or uneven ground. Please dress in layers, wear protective clothing and/or sunscreen, wear sturdy footwear, and carry ample water, electrolytes, and snacks for yourself. Restrooms are available at the Slate Trailhead parking.
MEETING LOCATION: Slate Trailhead, which is off the loop road near the end of the main park road.
