Hike with Ranger Jacque through winding trails while watching the sun set over the Sonoran Desert!

This Desert 101 hike is perfect for exploring the foothills and enjoying a famous Arizona sunset. The route is approximately 3.5 miles roundtrip on the Goldmine, San Tan, and Moonlight Trails, featuring gravelly, slightly rocky terrain, with moderate inclines. Along the way, we'll discover the surprising diversity and adaptability of the desert! Don't forget to bring plenty of water, sun protection, close-toed shoes, a small hand-held flashlight for after nightfall, and $10 exact change for the self-pay station or your annual pass.
