We’ll be on the lookout for all kinds of evening-active critters, from skunks to spiders, snakes, foxes, coyote, deer, owls and of course scorpions! Bring flashlights (that are fully charged); black UV lights are optional for scorpions. This will be about a 1-1.5-mile hike starting along the Palm Lake loop trail and continue onto the River Ramble trail, these trails are rated easy with mostly flat areas (only slight unevenness in a few spots), so please wear close-toed shoes. There are restrooms and water fountains in the parking lot, but please be sure to bring plenty of water with you. The preserve does not allow pets.
