Join Ranger Olivia for a hike to learn about the effects that climate change is having on the Sonoran Desert while the sun sets. Click program title for more details. 

Ever wondered how climate change will affect the animals and plants around us? Curious about how life in the desert will adapt to a warming world? If you’re asking yourself these questions, this program is for you! Dive into the impact of climate change on the desert environment and discover how this unique ecosystem is evolving in real-time. Don’t miss the chance to explore the future of life in the desert! This hike will be about 2 miles out and back along the Noso trail, where the terrain is mostly flat but is slightly rocky and uneven in spots. Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the trailhead but be sure to bring plenty of water with you!   

 

PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events. Limit 25 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 4 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 08/11/26.
