Join Ranger Nikki to look for and identify our desert feathered friends and their homes. Click program title for more details.

On this walk near the Nature Center, Ranger Nikki will lead the way as we look for birds and try to spot their homes camouflaged among the cholla cacti and trees. The route follows Overton Trail to GO John Trailhead, where we will then walk on the paved roadway and return to the Nature Center either via the roadway or trail. Total distance is approximately one mile. The terrain is rocky and uneven on the trail and level asphalt on the road, with a short, modest incline on the trail portion. (This walk is followed by a separate indoor class on bird identification. See listing for Bird ID Basics). Wear closed-toe shoes and bring water, a hat, binoculars (suggested) and sunscreen. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.

MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center

No registration required.
