Lake Pleasant Regional Park hosts many visitors throughout the year, which makes keeping up with trash clean-up along Lake Pleasant’s vast shoreline a difficult task. Not only is litter ugly to look at, but it also can be a health risk for our native wildlife. We are organizing a clean-up event with Keep Nature Wild on February 19th. Please join us!!!
We are seeking willing and able volunteers to provide the manpower to walk the shoreline and bag trash and litter. You must be in good physical condition with the ability to work outdoors, standing, walking, and or bending over in the desert heat the entire time.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves and trash pickers. Make sure to bring plenty of water. A sun hat, sunscreen, a salty snack, and good hiking shoes are also recommended. We will provide the trash bags.
Please check in at the Main Entry Station. You will be directed to the Group Campground where park staff will meet up with you. Sign-in will begin at 9:00 am. A Safety briefing will be held before we start the clean-up.
In return for your generous service, all volunteers will receive free admission to Lake Pleasant for the entire day!
