Maricopa County has a wet weekend on tap. Here’s what you should know before you visit the parks:

BEFORE YOU GO:

• Postpone if storms are coming.

DURING YOUR VISIT

• Stay out of washes—they flood fast, even on clear days.
• Check park alerts online.
• Avoid open areas, lone trees, and saguaro during lightning.
• Skip muddy trails to protect them.

RESOURCES:

• RAINFALL DATA: To check the rainfall data for each park, visit the Flood Control District's rainfall data map.
• SAND BAGS: If you need sandbags to reduce flood damage to their homes and businesses, please visit the Sand Bag Pickup Locations. This service is made available by Maricopa County's Flood Control District, Emergency Management, and Department of Transportation.
