Experience the majesty of the desert as the sun dips below the horizon on this informative walk. We will hike the Rock Peak Wash Trail (2.2 miles, easy-moderate rating, 93 ft elevation change) while discussing the amazing life cycle and significance of the Sonoran Desert's saguaros, including seeking out a unique crested form found along this path. This is a casual hike, perfect for logging miles for the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge! Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are NOT available at this trailhead, so please plan accordingly. No pets, please. Please bring $7 exact change cash per vehicle to cover the park entry fee upon arrival.
