NOTICE OF TRAIL WORK
MERKLE TRAIL TEMPORARILY CLOSED FOR REPAIRS
October 17 - November 10
The Maricopa County Parks and Recreation’s Trails Division will be conducting TRAIL REPAIR work along the entire length of the MERKLE TRAIL at Usery Mountain Regional Park.
During repairs, both the Merkle Trail and Vista Trail will be closed for use.
This project will involve heavy equipment moving around the site, installing and repairing culverts and drainages, and repairing the tread.
The purpose of this work is to repair storm damage and prevent or mitigate future damage through the installation or enhancement of water control features.
