LAKE PLEASANT - Memorial Day Updates

Lake Pleasant's high water elevation leaves almost NO SHORELINE to park or recreate on, limiting how many visitors can safely visit the park without damaging the land or visitor experience. Here's what to expect:

  • POSSIBLE PARK CLOSURES: For park visitor safety and natural resource protection, the park may likely close on either Saturday, Sunday, or Monday for up to six hours.
    • When the park closes, it will not reopen until 4 pm.
    • If you leave the park and it is closed, you will not be allowed back in.
  • BOAT PARKING: Water has covered the lower parking lot at the concrete spillway. The lake only has spaces available at the 10-Lane (main and east parking lot) and the 4-lane (space limited). Please use Pleasant Harbor Marina (87th Ave., east of Lake Pleasant) as an alternate entrance.
  • CAMPSITES: No camping spaces are available. They are all reserved, and there are no vacancies.

  • SHORELINE CAMPING: We do not offer shoreline camping.

  • CAMPFIRES: The park is under a fire ban. No campfires, fire pits, and charcoal grills allowed.

  • PARK HOURS: The park hours are 5 am to 9 pm.

  • PARK UPDATES: This page will be updated throughout the holiday weekend to provide information on the status of the park. Plan accordingly and check this page regularly for current information and/or closure notices. Please do not call the park or send messages via social media to see if it is open or closed.
