Events

The hike is strenuous covering 9.7 miles and gaining 561ft of elevation along sections of Desert Rose, Gadsden, and Fly Catcher trails. All hikers need 3 liters of water and are encouraged to come pre-hydrated. Please check the weather prior to the hike and dress appropriately for the weather this includes supportive close toed shoes. If you have balance issues or are concerned about loose rock hiking poles can be very helpful. Due to the remoteness of the trailhead there are no bathrooms or water filling stations so please plan ahead. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 2/20/26.
