Join Ranger Eric to look for and learn about scorpions, snakes, tarantulas, spiders, owls, nightjars, mammals, and other nocturnal wildlife while hiking the Cottonwood Trail. We will likely see or hear wild burros (donkeys), or at least signs of them. The hike will be on easy to moderate grade, with frequently rocky and uneven surfaces. We will likely only go 0.5-1 mile total, but may go shorter duration and distance depending on the heat. The ranger will have a headlamp and blacklight, but please bring flashlights and blacklights if you have them. Please wear sturdy footwear and bring ample water for yourself. Restrooms are available at the trailhead.
MEETING LOCATION: Cottonwood Day Use Area accessed via the North Entry Station.

If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please email back ASAP so those on the waiting list may be contacted. Registration for this program will close on 9/24.
