Friday – Have you ever seen a special rock drawing called a petroglyph? If not, be sure to join our in-house hiking group on an archaeology-themed adventure with the ranger. You’ll learn about the Hohokam people and find out what traces they left behind in this area and throughout the valley. This moderate hike is out and back for approximately 3.5 miles total, with a ¼ mile section being moderate/difficult. What to bring: Closed-toe shoes, water, hat, sunscreen. Trekking poles are helpful. Meet at the main trailhead.
