The hike will take you through towering saguaros and into the Tonto National forest along a small section of the Spur Cross and Maricopa trails covering 3.7 miles and gaining 270ft of elevation. As we will be hiking at night all hikers should have a flashlight or headlamp with a full charge or new batteries. The trail can be sandy and rocky in sections so sturdy close toed shoes are encourage hiking poles can also be helpful. There is no water in the park so make sure to bring plenty with you. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list. Registration for this program will close on 5/26/26. PLEASE NOTE: Outdoor summer programs may be canceled on short notice due to severe weather, including extreme heat events.
