Join Ranger Shaun on an easy to moderate hike to learn about some of the flowers, shrubs and trees that are found in the Park. Click program title for more details

Learn about the Sonoran Desert in springtime with a chance to see wildflowers and blooming shrubs. Late fall rains provided a start for the flower season so there may be a continuation of blooms or even a second round for spring. Possible sightings include poppies, lupine, desert hyacinth, fairy duster, globemallow and more.

Ranger Shaun will lead you along Spur Cross and Metate Trails to make a roughly 2- mile loop. The terrain ranges from flat and even to rocky and uneven with small to medium rocks underfoot. Wear closed-toe shoes and sun-protective clothing. There is NO water available at the park so please bring plenty of your own. Portable restrooms are available at the Trailhead.

MEETING LOCATION: Main Trailhead at covered picnic tables and restrooms

Precise meeting location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/7WueTBh6rPhXgWXo8
