The hike is rated as moderate and will cover sections of the Ford Canyon, Wadell, and Mesquite trails for 3.75 miles and gain189 feet of elevation gain. All hikers should have sturdy shoes and flashlights that are fully charged or with extra batteries. The trailhead does have a bathroom or water fountain but please make sure you bring water with you and come well hydrated.
