Bring the family and have some creepy fun tracking down our resident scorpions in the park! The trail is fairly easy and we will only be walking a short distance, going slow, staying on the trail, and looking with black lights for those elusive creatures. How many will we see? One hike we saw over 100!! But it varies depending on the night. Wear closed toe shoes (of course), bring a flash light, and drink plenty of water before the hike. If you have a battery operated black light, bring that too. The park will loan out black lights, but once they are all loaned out, that's it. Send an email to Ranger Casey at casey.carter@maricopa.gov and leave a message on how many people attending. We will respond and verify you are on the hike, and give directions to the trailhead.
