National Take a Hike Day Hike (Registration Required, Limit 20 Participants)

Enjoy National Take-a-Hike Day by joining Ranger Eric on a 3.9-mile loop hike of part of Spur Cross, Boca Grande, and Dragonfly Trails through Spur Cross Ranch Conservation Area and Jewel of the Creek Preserve. The trail is rated as moderate and the hike will take 3-4 hours to complete. Please bring your own water and snacks, wear sturdy footwear and sun protection.

Maricopa County Parks is celebrating National Take a Hike Day today, November 17, by waiving entrance fees at all of its parks for the day! 

For those of you participating in the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge, this is a great way to work towards your goal! The challenge runs from Nov.1-Feb. 8. MEETING LOCATION: Trailhead ramada with picnic tables and portapotties 0.2-mile up the road from the Spur Cross parking lot.

Limit 20 participants. To register, please call the Cave Creek Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 8 with your name, phone number, and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
