It’s a Halloween edition of Lunch and Learn, where we’ll bust some myths about scaly, fuzzy, scratchy, venomous and outright pokey critters that are often misunderstood and get a high spook-factor rating, especially this time of year. Ranger Nikki will share information on snakes, tarantulas, scorpions, vultures and more with a slideshow, preserved specimens, skins, skulls and even a live critter or two. Activity sheets and coloring pages will be available for the kids. Bring your bag lunch or snack to this indoor presentation that takes place inside the Nature Center’s air-conditioned classroom. If you plan to hike before or after the program, be sure to wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.
