Join Ranger Kevin for a lunchtime look at our very own giants of the desert – the Saguaro cactus! Click program title for more details.

Not only giants, these plants are a keystone species in the Sonoran Desert, the only place on Earth where they are native. Saguaros facilitate life in the desert in a myriad of ways, affecting other plants, animals and humans alike. We’ll discuss many of the qualities that make this majestic icon so special. If you’d like, you can bring a lunch and eat while watching this fun and enlightening presentation. This program is appropriate for families and people of all ages.
MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center classroom

Limit 30 participants. To register, please call the Nature Center at (602) 506-2930 ext. 6 with your name, phone number and number of people attending. If you find you cannot attend a program after you have registered, please call the Nature Center ASAP so we may contact those on the waiting list.
