Lake Pleasant Regional Park - Wild Burro Trailhead
Lake Pleasant Access Road to South Park Road to Desert Tortoise Road to Wild Burro Day Use Area
Peoria, AZ 85383
Lake Pleasant has around 600 wild burros, and they love making trails. One of our trails in the park follows an old burro trail, so it is a great place to see them. So let’s go looking for those elusive white faced campground bandits! This four mile hike is fairly easy and will take about two hours. There are restrooms and water at the trailhead and turnaround point. Great views over the lake and marina at the turnaround point. Follow the “Hike” signs once inside the main gate to Desert Tortoise Road and the day use area trailhead.
