Lake Pleasant Regional Park hosts many visitors throughout the year, which makes keeping up with trash clean-up along Lake Pleasant’s vast shoreline a difficult task. Not only is litter ugly to look at, but it also can be a health risk for our native wildlife. We are organizing a clean-up event so please join us!!!
We are seeking willing and able volunteers to provide the manpower to walk the shoreline and bag trash and litter. You must be in good physical condition with the ability to work outdoors, standing, walking, and or bending over in the desert heat the entire time.
Volunteers are encouraged to bring their own gloves and trash pickers. We will supply the trash bags. Make sure to bring plenty of water. A sun hat, sunscreen, a salty snack, and good (closed-toe) hiking shoes are also recommended.
Please check-in at the park's Discovery Center parking lot. Sign-in will begin at 4:30 pm. A Safety briefing will be held before we start the clean-up.
In return for your generous service, all volunteers will receive free admission to Lake Pleasant for the entire day!
