Homeschool families can join Ranger Nikki to learn about a variety of critters that pollinate our desert plants and tour the park’s new Pollinator Garden! Click program title for more details.
Ranger Nikki will introduce you to some of the pollinators that play an important role in maintaining both our native plant population and cultivated plants that we rely on for food. Learn about bees, butterflies, beetles, hummingbirds and more, and why it’s important for us to protect them. This is an indoor classroom program with discussion and hands-on activities. We will then walk or drive over to the Pollinator Garden at the turf area to observe pollinators in action as they visit their favorite native plants. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring snacks, water and a hat. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.
MEETING LOCATION: Nature Center classroom
