Homeschool students – What would it be like to be an invertebrate critter and wear your skeleton on the outside of your body? We’ll discuss really cool desert arthropods such as spiders, scorpions and beetles, get up close with some exoskeletons and learn how they survive in our desert environment. Includes a classroom discussion and activities, a take-home craft project and a short trail walk to look for critters crawling on the ground and buzzing in the air. Maximum 20 participating students. What to bring: Closed-toe shoes, water, hat, sunscreen. Meet inside the Nature Center. 10-11:30am.
