Have fun with this indoor drop-in discovery station that is all about our desert’s six- and eight-legged critters! Learn about cool characteristics and survival strategies of arthropods such as spiders, scorpions, beetles and butterflies, and in particular the County Parks Eco-Blitz species of the month – the striped-tail scorpion! You can investigate real specimens, complete an insect activity packet, make a take-home craft and take a self-guided exploration walk around the nature center grounds. Meet inside the Nature Center.
