Late April through May is the peak of spring songbird migration! Join Audubon Arizona's Education Director and coauthor of the Arizona Breeding Bird Atlas, Cathy Wise, for guided bird walk at a special time, from 7:00-10:00am, to look and listen for resident and migrant birds within the diverse desert riparian habitat of the Hassayampa River Preserve. Along the way you will learn how to identify birds by sight and sound, and about the behavioral and ecological traits that make them unique. Some binoculars are available to borrow at the Preserve Nature Center. Space is limited. To register, please call the Visitor Center at 928-684-2772. *Note that participants must be on time to enter the Preserve, otherwise they will need to wait until the regular opening time of 8:00am to join up with us.
