Join Ranger Eric for a guided walk along the Dragonfly Trail at Spur Cross and adjacent Jewel of the Creek Preserve to look for birds of the Sonoran Desert and riparian habitats. Fall migration is near peak at this time, so we will likely see a wide variety of birds! Light to moderate hiking. Please bring your own binoculars, water, and sturdy footwear. We will meet at the trailhead for the Dragonfly Trail at the Jewel of the Creek Preserve parking lot. Space is limited. To register, please email Ranger Eric: eric.hough@maricopa.gov.
An hour after the bird walk ends, a butterfly walk will be lead from the Spur Cross parking lot (see separate posting for details).
