Join Ranger Eric to look for birds and dragonflies of Sonoran Desert riparian wetlands while we hike the Dragonfly Trail. Along the way, we will discuss identification tips and learn about the local ecosystem. We will hike about 1.5 miles of easy to moderate trail. Please bring your own water and snacks. Sunscreen, protective clothing, insect repellent, a hat, and sturdy footwear are recommended. Portable toilets are available past the Spur Cross trailhead at the end of the road. Please meet at the Dragonfly Trail/Jewel of the Creek Preserve trailhead. We will plan to end by 9am, although may end sooner depending on how quickly it heats up. Space is limited.
