Start your morning with a challenging but rewarding workout on the Goldmine trail, which is a difficult rated hike with 541ft of elevation gained to reach one of the peaks in the Goldmine mountains. The terrain ranges from even and smooth with small to medium rocks underfoot to steep hills with elevation gain and large rocks. This hike requires going up and down hilly terrain on uneven ground, hiking poles/sticks might be helpful but are not required. Wear closed-toe shoes, sunscreen or long sleeves (there is little to no shade on the trail), and bring plenty of water, electrolytes, and some salty and sweet snacks to keep your fuel up. Please note this hike is not for beginners. There are restrooms and water at the trailhead, but please no pets as dogs can easily overheat in the summer.
