Join Ranger Derik on a hike through the park and learn about the many native edible and medicinal plants that are found in the Sonoran Desert.
The hike will be led by Ranger Derik and cover 3 miles round trip as an out and back on the Overton Trail. During the hike there will be frequent stops to take in views and talk about plants found along the trail. If conditions are right, there may be a possibility to try several of the edible plants. No pets, please. Wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center.
