Thanksgiving is nearly upon us but before we feast, have you ever wondered what the desert has to offer? Ranger Shaun has some answers. Click program title for more details.

This is a medium difficulty hike on sections of Moonlight, Stargazer, and San Tan trails. Along the way we’ll discuss some of the edible plants found in our desert. We’ll talk about how some of the ancient people of the desert used these plants for survival and how some of them have been used through the years or perhaps even still are in products we use today.

Closed toed shoes and water bottles required. Sunscreen and hats recommended. Walking or hiking sticks not necessary but may be helpful in some areas. Restrooms and water are available near the trailhead.
