Join Ranger Eric for a guided hike to learn about the plants and ecology of the Sonoran Desert, with a special emphasis on spring annual wildflowers. Based on what we saw germinating after late fall rains, we have a good chance of seeing early wildflowers on this hike. We will hike a 4.2-mile loop of Pemberton, Shallmo Wash, Cinch, and the southern part of Scenic Trail, which has easy to moderate grade, with occasionally rocky, sandy, and uneven terrain. Please wear sturdy footwear and sun protection, dress in layers, and bring ample water, snacks, and electrolytes. Restrooms are located where we will meet at the Trailhead Staging Area (Pemberton Trailhead).
