Whether you are a new desert dweller or a longtime resident you will enjoy this introduction to our fascinating Sonoran Desert landscape. How do plants and animals survive in a place with minimum rain and maximum heat? This mile-long walk and talk will explore some nature’s efficient survival strategies that allow them to do so. We’ll also touch upon San Tan’s interesting geologic and cultural history. Remember your closed-toe shoes, water and hat. Limit 10 participants. Registration required by calling the San Tan park office at 602-506-2930 x7. Meet at the main entrance trailhead map kiosk/picnic table.
