Join Ranger Eric for a moderate to difficult hike up about 3 miles of Ford Canyon Trail to the old dam while learning about the Sonoran Desert ecosystem and the White Tank Mountains. We will meet at the trailhead at Area 9, which has restrooms available. The hike will be about 6 miles round trip and will involve rocky and uneven surfaces. Please bring ample water and wear sturdy footwear. If you are wanting to participate in the 100 Miles in 100 Days Challenge from Nov. 1 to Feb. 8, this is a great way to work towards that goal!
