Join Ranger Eric to look for and learn about the nocturnal critters of the Sonoran Desert riparian ecosystems! Hiking will be easy to moderate and will be about 1-1.5 miles. Wildlife may include scorpions, bugs, owls, nightjars, reptiles, and mammals. Please bring your own water and flashlights. A blacklight is recommended, but the ranger will have one to point out scorpions with. Portable toilets are available just past the Spur Cross trailhead at the end of the road. We will meet at the Spur Cross trailhead. Space is limited. To register, please email Ranger Eric at eric.hough@maricopa.gov.
