Whether you already have your own kayak or need to rent one, this program is for people who enjoy a slower pace. We stay together and paddle under four miles, staying near the shoreline. You can bring your own paddle craft or you can rent a kayak from South by Southwest Adventures! All you have to do is book ahead at https://fareharbor.com/sbsouthwest/items/ or call 928-421-1288. They will supply the kayak, paddle and life vest. They will bring your kayak right to you where we launch for the program, how cool is that! Depending on the weather, we will search out fun coves but keep it tame for all you newcomers. LIFE VEST MUST BE WORN AT ALL TIMES ON THE WATER. YOU MUST HAVE AT LEAST ONE FLASHLIGHT OR OTHER LIGHT ON YOUR PADDLCRAFT, AND YOU MUST HAVE A WHISTLE. Bring some water and a snack too to keep you going. Dress to get wet but stay warm.
