What makes a cactus a cactus? How can plants survive scorching temperatures? Can you eat Cactus? To get the answers to these questions and more…join Ranger Evan for a short hike along easy Merkle Trail to examine numerous species of plants, shrubs, and cactus that call the Sonoran Desert home. While out, you may even get lucky and see some wildlife! Please wear closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water.
