Come join Ranger Derik for a morning hike through the Sonoran desert to see unique desert plants and learn how they have adapted to the harsh desert environment.
Join Ranger Derik to discover the unique cactus and other plants of the Sonoran Desert! We will meet at the North Trailhead promptly at 7am. Hiking will be easy to moderate and will be about 3 mile in length. The hike will include saguaro cactus, barrel cactus, prickly pear cactus and others. In addition to plants, we may see bugs, reptiles, birds and mammals. Please bring plenty of water! Restrooms are available a short distance from the trailhead. NO pets, please.
