Bring your kids on a short easy walk through the park followed by an indoor lesson about native bird species found in the Sonoran Desert with Ranger Derik.
Join Ranger Derik at the Estrella Visitor Center where we will go on a short hike to look for native bird species for 30-60 minutes (weather depending). Following the hike join us inside the Visitor Center to take a deeper dive into Sonoran Desert birds. Your kids will have the opportunity to look at skulls, feathers and wings. Coloring pages and Junior Ranger book will be available to take home. Please make sure to bring sunscreen, a hat and plenty of water, this is the desert after all! No pets, please.
