Join Adam Stein and Chrissy Kondrat to observe and learn about the Hassayampa MAPS bird banding station, a scientific study involving the marking of individual birds in order to learn about bird health, migration, and species distribution across the continent! You’ll get to see birds up close as the researchers collect data on these interesting animals down at the picnic area near the start of the trails. In addition, it is eBird Fall Global Big Day, a 24-hour period where you can help with citizen science by reporting the numbers of birds you see at each location you visit throughout the day to the eBird website or app. No registration required.
