Join Ranger Jacque for a special America 250 evening hike to explore the edible and medicinal plants of the Sonoran Desert. We will walk along the Moonlight Trail and Service Road, identifying native plants that have served as vital food and medicinal sources for generations of inhabitants. This 2.4-mile loop features mostly level terrain with some rocky sections and sandy washes.
Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water, sunscreen, and hat. You may also want to bring a flashlight for the final portion of the hike.
