Join Ranger Jacque for a 3.6-mile guided hike to learn about the plants and ecology of the Sonoran Desert. The route follows the Goldmine, San Tan, and Moonlight trails, which are rated as moderate with terrain ranging from smooth and level to rocky and uneven, with 300 feet of elevation gain. Along the way, we will discuss the identification and unique adaptations of various desert flora, including cacti and seasonal blooms. Please wear sturdy, closed-toe shoes and bring plenty of water. Restrooms and water are available at the Nature Center. No pets, please.
